Welcome to Zaytouna

Authentic Lebanese flavors, char-grilled over open flame and shared the way home cooking always has been.

Zaytoun — the olive, the root of it all

"Zaytouna" means olive tree — the tree our grandmothers pressed by hand, the oil that finishes every plate we serve.

  • Family recipes passed down from Beirut and the Bekaa Valley.
  • Daily mezze made fresh every morning — no shortcuts, no freezers.
  • Charcoal grills imported from Lebanon for that unmistakable smoke.

From our first hummus bowl to the last piece of kunafa, every dish at Zaytouna carries the warmth of a Lebanese table — generous, unhurried, and meant to be shared.

WHY US

Why Choose Zaytouna

01

Made From Scratch

Our mezze — hummus, moutabal, tabbouleh — is prepared fresh each morning, never pre-made or frozen.

02

Charcoal Grilled

Shish taouk, kafta and lamb chops finished over real charcoal for authentic Lebanese smoke and char.

03

Family Style Hospitality

Every table is welcomed like family — generous portions, warm bread, and a table that's never rushed.

Specials

Chef's Signature Selections

The Zaytouna Mixed Grill

Shish taouk, lamb kafta and grilled chops — everything, all at once.

Our signature sharing platter brings together char-grilled shish taouk, hand-formed lamb kafta and marinated lamb chops, served over saffron rice with garlic toum, grilled tomato and warm bread. Built for the table, not the plate.

Friday Night Mezze Spread

Ten mezze, one table, zero rush.

Every Friday we set the table the way it happens at home — hummus, moutabal, warak enab, kibbeh, cheese rakakat and more, arriving in waves for the whole table to share, family-style.

Sayadieh — Fisherman’s Rice

Caramelized-onion rice under fresh grilled fish, a coastal Lebanon classic.

Slow-cooked rice built on a base of deeply caramelized onions and fish stock, topped with grilled catch of the day and toasted almonds — a dish born on the Beirut and Saida waterfronts.

Zaytouna Vegetarian Feast

Everything green (and gold) on the menu, in one spread.

Hummus, moutabal, tabbouleh, fattoush, warak enab and sautéed seasonal vegetables — a fully plant-based mezze spread that still leaves the table full and happy.

Kunafa Night — Dessert Table

Warm kunafa, baklava and Lebanese coffee to finish the evening properly.

Thursday and Saturday evenings close with a dessert table built around warm kunafa straight from the tray, alongside baklava, maamoul and Lebanese coffee.

Testimonials

What our guests are saying

The mixed grill platter tastes exactly like my teta’s Sunday table. The toum alone is worth the visit.

Friday mezze night is the best value in the city — ten plates in and we were still finding new favorites.

Booked the private room for my sister’s engagement — Zaytouna handled every detail, and the kunafa table was a hit.

You can taste the charcoal on the kafta. Rare to find grill work this precise outside of Beirut.

Warm service, generous portions, and the tabbouleh is properly parsley-forward the way it should be.
